YEREVAN, February 24. /ARKA/. Relations between three representatives of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia has become tense over the Yerevan mayor post, Haykakan Zhamanak (Armenian Time) reports.  

According to the newspaper, Hovik Abrahamyan, the prime minister, Gagik Beglaryan, the transport and communications minister, and MP Mher Sedrakyan have their eyes on particular administrative positions – the transport minister has an ambition to get back the Yerevan mayor’s position he once enjoyed, the premier wants this post for his son, who is now Artashat mayor, and the MP is competing with them to obtain this position for his son. 

The newspaper refers to talk among officials that Beglaryan in private conversations doesn’t miss a chance to say that the prime minister uses financial resources from the government budget for his son.

In particular, he says that in 2015 Abrahamyan allocated AMD 120 million from the budget for laying asphalt on a road in Artashat, and this year he earmarked much money for repairing another road.  

In both cases the money was allocated at the proposal of Abrahamyan’s relative – MP Karine Poghosyan from Artashat. ($1 – AMD 493.38). --0---
