Republican Party of Armenia and Dashnaktsutiun laying ground for long-term cooperation

The agreement the ruling Republican Party of Armenia and the Armenian Revolutionary Federation/Dashnaktsutiun signed Wednesday in the Armenian president’s residency is laying the ground for a long-term cooperation between the two parties, Armen Ashotyan, deputy chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia, told journalists after the signing.

YEREVAN, February 25. /ARKA/. The agreement the ruling Republican Party of Armenia and the Armenian Revolutionary Federation/Dashnaktsutiun signed Wednesday in the Armenian president’s residency is laying the ground for a long-term cooperation between the two parties, Armen Ashotyan, deputy chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia, told journalists after the signing. 

Ashotyan, who signed the document from the Armenian Republicans’ side, is quoted by Novosti-Armenia as saying that the agreement came as beginning of new political culture, since it is not a post-election coalition or pre-election alliance, but it is based on a joint system of values and a program of common goals and joint actions.

Aghvan Vardanyan, who signed the agreement from Dashnaktsutiun’s side, said that it is a well-thought-out documents that embraces almost all areas.

In his words, the focuses outlined in it are real goals of the two parties.  

In his opinion, the changes will not lead to confrontation among political parties, but the opposite – they promote cooperation and solution of problems through dialogue. 

He thinks that cooperation between the two parties will change things in the country. ---0---
