The Armenian government made a decision today to dismiss Romanos Petrosyan from his post as governor of Kotayk region. Petrosyan has served as governor of Kotayk since June 1, 2018.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told a cabinet session that Petrosyan would be appointed as Minister of Environment. He said he will ask later today the president to approve Petrosyan's nomination.
Rumors that Romanos Petrosyan would be appointed as minister of environment had been circulating for a long time, but before that there were rumors that he would replace territorial administration and infrastructure minister Suren Papikyan, who would replace Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan. –0--
