Russia’s deputy Regional Development Minister Vereshchagin to coordinate cooperation with Armenia

The deputy Regional Development Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Vereshchagin will be now in charge of interregional cooperation establishment with Armenian regions, RF Regional Development Ministry reported Monday.

YEREVAN, December 17. /ARKA/. The deputy Regional Development Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Vereshchagin will be now in charge of interregional cooperation establishment with Armenian regions, RF Regional Development Ministry reported Monday. 

Vereshchagin manages the Ministry’s performance in the North-Caucasian Federal District of the Russian Federation. 

The decision was made following the meeting between Russian Regional Development Minister Igor Slunyayev and Minister of Territorial Administration of Armenia Armen Gevorgyan, RIA Novosti reports.Over 50 out of 83 regions of the Russian Federation are currently cooperating with Armenia’s regions. Moscow region, Petersburg and the North Ossetia are among those Russian regions. 

“It is necessary to involve Armenian national- cultural autonomies on the territory of Russia into developing the bilateral ties, and mobilize world entrepreneurs of the Armenian origin to solve investment and economic issues on the territories of the both states,” Slunyayev said in a statement. -0-
