Samvel Karapetyan's "Our Way" Movement Established in Armenia, Future Plans Revealed

YEREVAN, August 29. /ARКА/. The "Our Way" movement, led by Samvel Karapetyan, has been officially established in Armenia.

The fundamental principles of this movement were articulated by Samvel Karapetyan, President of the Tashir Group, whose message was conveyed during the movement's launch ceremony.

"This initiative is built around distinct ideas and encompasses significant programs for Armenia. It aims to foster economic development, create genuine opportunities for business and prosperity, reinforce family and national values, restore Armenia's standing as a trustworthy partner, uphold the rights of the people of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) to live with dignity, and renew the youth's faith in the future through advancements in the education system, while also preserving and safeguarding our Holy Church," stated Karapetyan's message.

He indicated that the "Our Way" movement will serve as the groundwork for a new political force that is deemed necessary by the populace today.

"We have arrived at a juncture where the expectations of the people are not being fulfilled. Hatred and divisions are being cultivated," remarked Narek Karapetyan, Vice President of the Tashir Group, during the presentation.

He noted that in the past, the citizens of Armenia were referred to as "proud citizens," but currently, they are being persuaded that constant concessions are essential, as there appears to be no alternative.

"However, we will pursue our own path. Today, we are announcing the formation of the voluntary movement 'Our Way.' This movement is not politically affiliated; its members may come from various professions and contribute their time voluntarily. This does not imply that a political party will not be established. This is merely the initial phase. In the subsequent stage, we will unveil our programs," Karapetyan stated.

He revealed plans for the establishment of a political party in the second phase, which will participate in the electoral processes of 2026.

"Five working groups will be formed across five sectors. The focus will be on the new economy: employment and welfare.

The second direction, according to him, will be the "Big Armenian Family", which provides assistance to young families, in particular, in matters of housing and education.

On July 22, the Defense Council for Samvel Karapetyan, entrepreneur and owner of Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC, informed that Karapetyan and his family won the emergency arbitration proceedings against the Government of the Republic of Armenia in the case of the nationalization of Electric Networks of Armenia. It is noted that the court prohibited the RA government from confiscating or selling the assets of ENA, changing the composition of ENA's management bodies, revoking ENA's licenses and in any way restricting the company's natural business activities.

In response, the Armenian government stated that the appointment of a temporary manager of ENA does not contradict the decision of the Stockholm Arbitration Court and is aimed at preventing crises and identifying violations in the company's operations.-0-
