Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan sent today a message to his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, congratulating him on the Day of Russia, the Russian Federation’s public holiday, the Armenian president’s press office reports.

YEREVAN, June 12. /ARKA/. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan sent today a message to his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, congratulating him on the Day of Russia, the Russian Federation’s public holiday, the Armenian president’s press office reports. 

Sargsyan wished Putin good health and further successes in his activity. The Armenian president also wished all Russian citizens peace and prosperity. 

In his message, the president stressed that Armenian-Russian relations grounded on the age-old friendship between the two nations now continues developing in the spirit of allied collaboration. 

He is quoted by the press office as saying in his message that effective political dialogue between the countries and strategic nature of the partnership allow them to achieve significant results by joint efforts. 
Sargsyan expressed confidence that Armenia and Russia will be consistently deepening trade, economic, military, technical and humanitarian cooperation to enhance both nations’ welfare. 

“This is in tune with our countries’ fundamental interests and with efforts to ensure regional stability and security,” he said..-0----
