Sargsyan invites Putin to Armenia

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan confirmed his invitation to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to Armenia as met him today in Moscow.
YEREVAN, March 12. /ARKA/. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan confirmed his invitation to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to Armenia as met him today in Moscow.
He also expressed hope for support from Russia.
Talking to Putin at the Russian president’s countryside residence, Sargsyan reminded him that this visit is his first trip abroad after the recent presidential election.
“I find nothing surprising in it, since Russia is our strategic partner, our ally and it speaks for itself,” Novosti-Armenia International News Agency quoted Sargsyan referring to RIA Novosti.
“We have reached extraordinary achievements in all areas – political, economic, military and humanitarian as well as in integration,” the Armenian president said.
He thanked Putin for progress reached in military area since their previous meeting.
Sargsyan also spoke about Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu Chief of Staff of Russian Army Valery Gerasimov’s recent visits to Armenia.
“I agree that there is progress in economy,” he said. “We hope for help and support from Russia.” --0----
