Sixth Armenia-Diaspora forum starts in Yerevan

The Sixth Armenia-Diaspora forum under the slogan "Mutual Trust, Unity and Responsibility" starts in Yerevan on Monday.
YEREVAN, September 18. /ARKA/. The Sixth Armenia-Diaspora forum under the slogan "Mutual Trust, Unity and Responsibility" starts in Yerevan on Monday. The forum, which will run through September 20, is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the proclamation of the First Republic of Armenia.
Heads of Armenian government departments, experts from Armenia and Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), as well as prominent figures of the Armenian Diaspora, including a Turkish MP Karo Paylan are attending the gathering. Representatives of the Armenian Diaspora organizations of Belgium, the USA, Russia, Argentina, Lebanon, Portugal, Canada, Iran, Romania, the United Arab Emirates and Syria will make presentations.
The opening ceremony will be attended by presidents of Armenia and Artsakh Serzh Sargsyan and Bako Sahakyan and the head of the Armenian Apostolic Church Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II. Other key speakers are Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan, Artsakh Foreign Minister Karen Mirzoyan.
The forum will focus on four main areas - the main tasks of the development of Armenia, features of Armenia's defense policy in the current challenges, foreign policy agenda and the main tasks of preserving the Armenians.
In the framework of the 6th Armenia-Diaspora Forum, educational institutions, wine, brandy and textile producers of Armenia and Artsakh will present their achievements. -0-
