Spanish foreign minister accepts Armenian counterpart’s invitation to visit Yerevan

YEREVAN, June 18. /ARKA/. Spanish foreign minister Jose Manuel Garcia-Margalio accepted the invitation of his Armenian counterpart Edward Nalbandyan to visit Yerevan, the press office of Armenian foreign ministry reported.

YEREVAN, June 18. /ARKA/. Spanish foreign minister Jose Manuel Garcia-Margalio accepted the invitation of his Armenian counterpart Edward Nalbandyan to visit Yerevan, the press office of Armenian foreign ministry reported.
During his meeting with Garcia-Margalio, Armenian FM said his country has had a centuries-old friendship with Spain that may be used for expanding inter-state ties.
The Spanish foreign minister, in his turn, confirmed his willingness to take effective steps for strengthening cooperation with Armenia in various fields, including international and regional organizations, trade and economy and culture.
The foreign ministers agreed on measures for expanding contractual basis and stressed the importance of opening a Spanish diplomatic office in Yerevan.
Nalbandyan briefed his counterpart on Karabakh peace process.
Garcia-Margalio, in his turn, presented the anti-crisis measures taken by the Spanish government.
The foreign ministers also exchanged views on overcoming the Syrian crisis and negotiations on Iran’s nuclear program. –0--
