The days of commemoration of the dead in 2012 will be non-working days in Armenia

Government of Armenia in its meeting on Thursday is going to adopt a decision, according to which days following each of the major holidays of the Lord of Armenian Apostolic Church in 2012 will be non-working days.
YEREVAN. December 21. /ARKA/. Government of Armenia in its meeting on Thursday is going to adopt a decision, according to which days following each of the major holidays of the Lord of Armenian Apostolic Church in 2012 will be non-working days.
Thus, working Mondays - April 9, July 16, August 13 and September 17, 2010 will be moved to Saturdays – April 14, July 21, August 18 and September 29 respectively.
Commemoration day of the dead (Merelots) follows each of the major holidays of Armenian Church – Christmas and Epiphany, the Holy Resurrection of the Lord (Vardavar), Assumption and Exaltation of the Life of the Holy Cross.
Merelots was the first time announced non-working day in Armenia by the decision of the government on June 26, 2008 by the proposal of Holy Echmiadzin. --0--
