YEREVAN, January 19. /ARKA/. Those guilty of Giumry murder of a family of six will not succeed in avoiding the liability, Armenian minister of defense Seyran Ohanyan told reporters on Saturday.
On January 12, a family of six was killed in Giumry, near the place where the Russian military base N 102 is deployed. The only survivor is a six-month infant who is still in the intensive care unit. Russian conscript Valery Permyakov suspected of the killings was detained on Tuesday and admitted to the killings.
The minister said he talked to his Russian counterpart immediately after the events and met with the Russian deputy minister of defense.
The two countries were in close cooperation during the preliminary inquest, the minister said as cited by Novosti-Armenia.
“I am convinced the law-enforcement bodies of Armenia and Russia will manage to provide answers to all the questions and the guilty will be severely punished”, the minister said. –0--
