YEREVAN, October 10. /ARКА/. The TRIPP project also opens new export and import opportunities for CIS countries, stated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
"The TRIPP project provides Armenia with the opportunity to establish rail and other transport links with the CIS member state of Azerbaijan and other CIS member states. This is a significant change and a circumstance that will undoubtedly contribute to strengthening economic ties within the CIS and increasing the organization's effectiveness," he said at a meeting of the CIS Leaders' Council in Dushanbe.
About the Washington Declaration
Following the August 8 meeting in Washington between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, US President Donald Trump, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, the leaders of the three countries signed a seven-point declaration.
The document, in particular, declares the initialing by the foreign ministers of the parties of the agreed-upon text of the Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan; The signing of a statement by the Foreign Ministers of both countries on the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Process and related structures; efforts to ensure unimpeded travel between Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan through Armenian territory based on respect for the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and jurisdiction of states; and Armenia's cooperation with the United States and third countries to define the framework for the implementation of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project in Armenia.
On August 11, the Armenian Foreign Ministry published the text of the initialed agreement, which includes 17 chapters.
