Turkey is making every effort to prevent opening up of the Ottoman Empire archives due to the problem of the genocide against Armenians, founder of WikiLeaks Julian Assange said.

YEREVAN, September 12. /ARKA/. Turkey is making every effort to prevent opening up of the Ottoman Empire archives due to the problem of the genocide against Armenians, founder of WikiLeaks Julian Assange said.
“Censorship started rising in Turkey as many welcomed it for the Kurdish issues and the genocide of Armenians. Today censorship has spread to all fields”, Assange said at an Internet forum held in Istanbul on September 5.
Assange condemned the Internet management tools used in today’s Turkey. According to him, the Turkish censorship has its roots in the efforts against two problems – the Kurds and the Armenian genocide.
Earlier, the Turkish activist said access to some 45,000 and Youtube is blocked for users in Turkey. In response, the Turkish authorities made an attempt to say it is done to ensure children stay safe online. –0--
