Voter turnout in Nagorno-Karabakh elections is 64 percent

By 17.00 the voter turnout in the presidential and parliamentary elections in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) was 64 percent, which means that some 66,731 voters went to the polling stations, the chairwoman of the Artsakh Central Election Commission Srbuhi Arzumanyan said on Tuesday.

By 17.00 the voter turnout in the presidential and parliamentary elections in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) was 64 percent, which means that some 66,731 voters went to the polling stations, the chairwoman of the Artsakh Central Election Commission Srbuhi Arzumanyan said on Tuesday.
According to the CEC, the number of eligible voters in Artsakh is 103,663. Fourteen candidates are running for the post of president and 12 parties and electoral blocs are contesting 33 parliamentary seats.
The winner in the presidential election will succeed to Bako Sahakyan, Karabakh’s outgoing president who has been in office since 2007. -0-
