Working group of deputy prime ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia not closed, contacts continue - Overchuk

YEREVAN, March 18. /ARКА/. The trilateral working group co-chaired by the deputy prime ministers of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia has not been disbanded, and Russia will be happy to continue its work if the partners ask for it, said Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk.
"As for the trilateral working group of deputy prime ministers, it was defined by a joint statement of the heads of state of the Russian Federation, Armenia and Azerbaijan, respectively, within the framework of the statement of November 9-10, 2020. Now it is in a state of dormancy, but we know that contacts between the partners on this topic are being carried out," he told reporters on the sidelines of a meeting of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
"Nobody closed it (the working group), and if partners contact us and we can be useful in some way, and we can be useful, we will, of course, be happy to continue this work. But it depends on the partners," Overchuk added, TASS reports.
Earlier, in October 2024, the Armenian co-chair of the group Mher Grigoryan said that the group was not functioning due to a lack of consensus. -0-
