YEREVAN, September 8, /ARKA/. Over 20 children of a kindergarten in southern Armenia have been hospitalized after being diagnosed with enteric infection, Armenian Health Ministry said.

A press release by the ministry said the first five children from a kindergarten in Sisian, a town in the southern province of Syunik, were hospitalized on September 5 with symptoms of enteric viruses. It said the ministry was notified immediately by the local authorities.

After receiving the signal minister Harutyun Kushkian ordered to dispatch a team of experts, led by chief of the Hygienic and Anti-Epidemic Inspection of the ministry Artavazd Vanian and Armenia’s chief infectiologist Ara Asoyan, to Sisian.
