Demand for labor force in Armenia’s labor market has fallen a little this year, Harutyun Harutyunian, head of Tnak employment center, said today.

YEREVAN, December 5, /ARKA/. Demand for labor force in Armenia’s labor market has fallen a little this year, Harutyun Harutyunian, head of Tnak employment center, said today.

Speaking at a news conference, he said as the demand for labor force has been falling, the number of people seeking jobs at private employment centers has grown.

According to him, about 40% of job seekers have higher education. He said private employment centers find jobs for about 40-50 percent of all applicants.

In the first ten months of this year underpayment rate rose by 11.4% from a year before and according to State Employment Center, 83,000 jobless people were officially registered. In October the unemployment rate went down by 0.1% from September.  -0-
