YEREVAN, January 17. /ARKA/. Formation of high school institution in Armenia will be completed in 2011, Armenian Science and Education Minister Armen Ashotyan said Monday at a news conference.

He said the number of high schools in the country is planned to be enlarged to at least 105 this year.

“The estimation carried out in cooperation with territorial administration agencies shows that Armenia is in need of 14 or 15 new high schools,” he said.

Ashotyan said that in the strategy approved by Armenian government in 2008, this year is pointed out as final year in the process of the high-school network formation.

The minister didn’t rule out that certain changes would be implemented in the system also after 2011.

The World Bank has lent $1.6 million to Armenia for high-school system institution, and the government’s financing will amount to $400,000.
