YEREVAN, July 31. /ARКА/. Achieving financial independence for mass media in Armenia is a super problem, according to information security expert Samvel Martirosyan.

“It is absolutely clear that the market is very small, overloaded; there are countless mass media outlets, in some areas more than, for example, in Germany,” Martirosyan noted during a live discussion on Factor TV.

He pointed out that people are not ready to pay for a subscription, which one way or another leads to the media becoming dependent.

“At first, the dependence may be weak, for example, based on some projects, and then you can get involved very quickly. This issue is of a strategic, institutional nature and, in fact, has not found its solution in Armenia,” Martirosyan said.-0-
