The Armenian government decided Thursday at its regular meeting to earmark AMD 4.32 million for free health resort packages for the Great Patriotic War (World War II) veterans.

YEREVAN, August 8. /ARKA/. The Armenian government decided Thursday at its regular meeting to earmark AMD 4.32 million for free health resort packages for the Great Patriotic War (World War II) veterans.

Labor and Social Affairs Minister Zaruhi Batoyan said that the financial resources will be provided to the Association of Veterans nongovernmental organization for distributing the health resort vouchers among veterans.

A month earlier, the government decided to double the size of the monthly honorable benefit for the  veterans.

As many as 397 people will receive the benefit in 2019, and AMD 286 million ($60,000) is earmarked in the government budget for that. The amendment came into force on August 1, 2019.  ($1 – AMD 476.47). --0—
