Armenia’s government will support young families, when the budget allows it to do that, Labor and Social Minister Artem Asatryan said Thursday at a regular Cabinet session opposing some a bill proposed by some MPs.

YEREVAN, January 19. /ARKA/. Armenia’s government will support young families, when the budget allows it to do that, Labor and Social Minister Artem Asatryan said Thursday at a regular Cabinet session opposing some a bill proposed by some MPs.
The bill implying lump-sum benefits for young families was declined today by the Cabinet.
“The Armenian government finds it very important to support young families and thinks that assistance should be provided to those really in need,” he said.
The minister said proxy means test and clear criteria are needed for identifying the degree of need.
He said the government will look into the possibility of incorporating an additional program into the 2015 spending. --0----
