YEREVAN, March 6. /ARKA/. Armenia’s national security agency has detected an organized group made up of Armenian citizens and foreigners who have long been engaged in forgery of official documents.
The forgers have made and sold forged evidence of military service in other countries to 40 foreigners, who have been booked in Armenia’s military draft boards, obtained Armenian citizenship, received Armenian passports and exemption from compulsory military service.
The group has also forged driving licenses, birth certificates, marriage certificates and university diplomas as well as household and car registration, which were used for submission to appropriate agencies in Armenia and abroad.
The forgery equipment and forged papers for some 140 people were seized in a search.

Four of them will be pending trial in detention, while other seven will remain at large but with a written pledge not to leave the country.
