YEREVAN, December 12. /ARKA/. Armenia's National Security Service (NSS) said it has launched an investigation into the production and sale of fake documents.

According to a NSS statement, the fake documents were produced by the director of a company. More precisely, he produced certificates allowing driving a motor car with natural gas equipment and also certificates of compliance with the natural gas system installed on a motor vehicle. He sold the fake documents for AMD 2,500 each to the citizens of Russia and Kazakhstan who arrived in Armenia with the aim of acquiring cars without installing gas systems.

Besides, another Armenian citizen involved in the import of cars, bought fake technical inspection tickets from persons not yet established by the investigation at 1,000 drams ($2.1) each and then resold them at 4000 drams ($8.4) ) to citizens of the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan who arrived in the country with the aim of buying cars.
