Armenian sports minister’s son arrested on charges of trafficking in drugs

Armenian law-enforcement authorities have arrested David Vardanyan, the 29 year-old son of sports and youth affairs minister Yuri Vardanyan, on charges of smuggling narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances without an intent of selling .

YEREVAN, October 22. / ARKA /. Armenian law-enforcement authorities have arrested David Vardanyan, the 29 year-old son of sports and youth affairs minister Yuri Vardanyan, on charges of smuggling narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances without an intent of selling .
A criminal case has been launched by the Main Investigation Department of the Police.
If found guilty David Vardanyan may be sentenced to a prison term between four to eight years.
According to the Armenian media, he tried to smuggle drugs from Iran. -0 -
