Armenian SRC prevents import of large amount of marijuana from the U.S.

Armenia’s State Revenue Committee’s (SRC) customs officers discovered 112 tin cans with marijuana weighing a total of 2,400 grams when inspecting an international parcel delivered to Armenia from the U.S. by the Global Shipping LLC Company.
YEREVAN, November 24. /ARKA/. Armenia’s State Revenue Committee’s (SRC) customs officers discovered 112 tin cans with marijuana weighing a total of 2,400 grams when inspecting an international parcel delivered to Armenia from the U.S. by the Global Shipping LLC Company.
The tins with marijuana were detected at the cargo terminal of Yerevan's Zvartnots International Airport.
The recipient of the parcel was an Armenian citizen, identified as Z.T. He was detained immediately after picking up the parcel from a Globing office on Mashtots Avenue in Yerevan.
The SRC said criminal proceedings were initiated under the relevant article of the Criminal Code of Armenia. -0-
