YEREVAN, April 11. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, during a live broadcast on his Facebook page, provided an update on coronavirus cases.
“We have 977 confirmed cases of coronavirus. Thirty of them were detected on April 10,” he said.
According to the prime minister, at the moment, the number of active cases - those patients who are in medical facilities - is 750, and the number of deaths is 13.
Pashinyan said the average age of the deceased people is 76.2 years, and that of patients is 42. This statistics also confirms the information that coronavirus is especially dangerous for elderly citizens," he added.
On March 16 Armenia declared a 30-day state of emergency to contain the spread of coronavirus. Later, it imposed stringent restrictions on free movement of citizens and banned also some types of economic activity until April 12 inclusive.
As of April 11, in Armenia 966 confirmed cases of coronavirus were recorded. 173 patients have recovered and 13 people died. -0-
