In 2016 June the median gross monthly salary in Armenia was 185,506 drams ($388 or 25,283 Russian rubles), which was by 2.5% more than in 2015 June, according to the National Statistical Service (NSS).

In 2016 June the median gross monthly salary in Armenia was 185,506 drams ($388 or 25,283 Russian rubles), which was by 2.5% more than in 2015 June, according to the National Statistical Service (NSS). In May 2016 the median gross salary was 184,299 drams, or by about 2.6% more than in May 2015.
In 2016 June the highest salaries were boasted by information and communications sector - about 399,100 drams, financial and insurance sector-about 393,100 drams, and the mining industry – 382,200 drams.
The highest median gross salary was reported by the southern Syunik province-226,500 drams and the lowest by central Aragatsotn province-126,500 drams. In the capital city Yerevan it was 184,300 drams.
The lowest-paid sectors were culture, entertainment and leisure- 113,700 drams, education – 122,400 drams, agriculture, forestry and fisheries -about 118,200 drams and hotels and catering – 121,300 drams.. ($ 1 - 476.25 drams). -0-
