Municipality to provide Yerevan’s schools with heating system by November 15

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan instructed the Yerevan Municipality to provide all schools of the capital with the heating systems by mid-November, the Municipality reported Monday.

YEREVAN, August 28. /ARKA/. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan instructed the Yerevan Municipality to provide all schools of the capital with the heating systems by mid-November, the Municipality reported Monday.
According to the data, Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed the responsible bodies to provide 17 schools controlled by the Municipality, and 9 secondary schools controlled by Education and Science Ministry, with heating system by November 15.
“In 2011 we managed to supply the kindergartens with the heating system thus creating comfortable conditions for our children. I think this is an important and great accomplishment. By mid-November, when the weather becomes colder, it is necessary to solve the issue with school heating, so as our children can go to school and get knowledge in favorable conditions,” Margaryan said at the working session.
He added that in the further perspectives the Municipality plans to supply cultural centers, libraries , sport schools of the capital with heating system as well.
Currently, there are 200 general education schools in Yerevan.—0--
