No cases of severe side-effects of Covid-19 vaccination reported in Armenia - minister

YEREVAN, November 8. /ARKA/. No cases of sever side-effects of the Covid-19 vaccination have been reported so far, Armenian Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan said today in parliament.
According to her, as of November 7, some 890,797 doses of vaccine were administered by the health authorities, including 613 849 people who received the first dose (30% of the adult population), and 276, 948 people received both.
Avanesyan explained that the big difference between the numbers of those who received the first and second doses is because the rate of vaccination accelerated in October, and now some 18-19 thousand vaccinations are performed daily.
"We have not recorded a single case of sever side-effect of the vaccine. The most common side effects include a sore arm, fatigue, headache, aches, and fever and also allergic reactions, which disappear without medical intervention," she said.
Avanesyan stated that despite the increased vaccination rate the epidemiological situation remains tense. She said that school vacations and distance learning at universities in the past 2 weeks had a certain positive effect. -0-
