Before 2013, 90% of toys for sale in Armenia had no certificates, Levon Khalikyan, chief of the Armenian economic development and investments ministry’s market supervising agency, said on Monday.

YEREVAN, November 13. /ARKA/. Before 2013, 90% of toys for sale in Armenia had no certificates, Levon Khalikyan, chief of the Armenian economic development and investments ministry’s market supervising agency, said on Monday. 

Economic entities were selling such toys in a clear breach of the product safety rules, while now all toys in the country are sold with certificates.  

Khalikyan said that the last time uncertified toys were found in 2013. In his words, the toys were destroyed and no such cases have been recorded in the country since then. 

Nevertheless, he said, people should be cautious ahead of New Year holidays. 

The expert advises citizens to buy baby goods only in big shops. --0---
