Relative calm remained on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border on the night of July 30 and in the morning, the press secretary of the Armenian Defense Ministry Shushan Stepanyan reports on her Facebook page.

"The Azerbaijani side violated the ceasefire 15 times, firing about 120 shots from small arms in the direction of Armenian positions: 2 times in the direction of Chambarak, 8 times in the direction of Chinari, Aygedzor, Movses, Paravakar and Koti, and 5 times in the direction of Yeraskh, Areni and Zangakatuna," Stepanyan wrote on her Facebook page.
According to her, the enemy opened ineffective fire twice from the Igla-S and OSa-AK systems (once each).
About escalation of tension on Armenian-Azerbaijani border
Since July 12, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces have been carrying out aggressive actions against Armenia in the north-east direction of the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border. The enemy attempted to violate the state border in the Tavush region of Armenia using a tank, mortars, howitzers, drones and Grad MLRS.
Since July 17, there has been a relative calm at the border. On July 21, at 22.30, a detachment of Azerbaijani special forces attacked in the direction of the Anvakh (Fearless) position on the northeastern border section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border. A unit of the Armenian army repelled the enemy's attack, inflicting significant losses on him, according to preliminary data, some of the enemy's special forces fell into a trap.
Units of the Armed Forces of Armenia give a commensurate response to the periodic shelling and suppress the activity of the enemy: over the entire period, the control system of the UAV of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan and 13 drones were destroyed, the tank and artillery batteries were disabled.
As a result of attacks on Armenian strongholds, 36 soldiers were injured (of which 16 had minor injuries and 20 were hospitalized) and one local resident, five soldiers were killed and 6 cars were damaged. As a result of the shelling of peaceful settlements in Tavush, civilian infrastructures, houses of local residents, and vehicles were damaged. Azerbaijan officially confirmed the death of 12 soldiers, the Armenian side reported the deaths of at least 10 more Azerbaijani special service soldiers. -0--
