The man behind the frame –Arka news agency’s photographer Samvel Sepetchyan passes away

ARKA news agency’s longtime staff member, a responsive and kind person, a handyman and, of course a professional photographer Samvel Sepetchyan has passed away on June 30.
YEREVAN, May 31. /ARKA/. ARKA news agency’s longtime staff member, a responsive and kind person, a handyman and, of course a professional photographer Samvel Sepetchyan has passed away on June 30.
Samvel will be remembered by his friends and colleagues as a kind and sympathetic man, always in a good mood and with sparkling jokes, who could tell an inexhaustible variety of interesting stories and jokes. He was loved by many generations of journalists, historians, art critics and people of art. Everything he did, he did with great passion and professionalism.
Since 1976, Samvel worked as sound engineer and radio operator for state-owned concert organizing agencies, a senior engineer for Byurakan Astrophysical Laboratory, a photographer at the General Directorate of Monuments, a photographer for Sardarapat Museum.
Samvel Sepetchyan joined ARKA news agency 11 years ago. All those who worked with him knew that Samvel always did his work professionally, with jokes and stories from the lives of many famous people. Until his last days he stayed young. Despite his age, he hurried with enviable enthusiasm to shoot various interesting events, traveling across Armenia’s regions. He was easy-going and never complained about his health or life's troubles.
His last trip was on May 28, First Republic Day, to Sardarapat, the main venue of the festivities. His colleagues still can not believe that Samvel will not come to work any more. It seems that now the door will open, Samvel will enter with a smile in his face to tell another story that happened to him, perhaps a long time ago, but which he decided to recall and tell everyone right now.
The requiem for Samvel Sepetchyan will be held on June 1 at 18:00 at Avan district in Yerevan, 14 st., house 33/1, the funeral is on June 2 at 13:00. -0-
