YEREVAN, August 21. /ARKA/. Deputy mayor of Yerevan Tigran Avinyan said the municipality plans to start negotiations with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to get a funding for acquisition of 250 electric buses for the Armenian capital city.

Director of Yerevan Bus CJSC Hovhannes Manukyan told Avinyan during a meeting today that out of 249 China-made Higher buses acquired earlier only 120 are in use.

He said another 50 buses can be repaired. The rest of the Higer buses are already outdated and it is inexpedient to spend money on their repair a year before the end of their service life. -0-
