The Yerevan Municipality launched today the cleanup of the Yerevan Lake and the adjacent territory to create a comfortable recreation zone, the city administration said in a Facebook posting.

YEREVAN, April 6. /ARKA/. The Yerevan Municipality launched today the cleanup of the Yerevan Lake and the adjacent territory to create a comfortable recreation zone, the city administration said in a Facebook posting.

The Municipality has earmarked 60.5 million drams for 2022. Part of it will be spent on the collection and transportation of about 12,500 cubic meters of garbage and waste.

In parallel with the cleanup, the municipality is considering creation of a recreation zone, including the improvement of the coastal territory of 2.8 ha, installation of benches, trash garbage cans, construction of a sports ground, a bicycle path, an alley, installation of energy-efficient lamps for outdoor lighting and the creation of green areas.
