Yerevan Municipality to buy 87 MAN buses

YEREVAN, May 9. /ARKA/. The Yerevan Municipality will buy this and next year 87 new MAN buses. According to the press service of the city administration, the agreement on purchase of new buses was signed with Tegeta Motors Holding (Georgia), chosen through an international tender.

The agreement was signed by Yerevan Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan and Tegeta Holding Strategic Business Director Irakli Papiashvili.

This project, implemented with the support of the EBRD - a €20 million sovereign loan and a €5 million grant from the Eastern Europe Energy Efficiency and Environmental Partnership Fund (E5P) - is an important part of the city’s public transport reform.

The 12-meter long MAN buses can transport 94 passengers and comply with Euro 6 environmental standards. They are fully adapted for people with disabilities, run on liquefied natural gas, are safe and equipped with the latest technology. --0--
