YEREVAN, July 31. /ARKA/. The Yerevan Municipality is going to improve the program of after-school activities in state-run kindergartens.

According to Margarit Khachatryan, Head of the General Education Department at Yerevan Municipality, in the current academic year there were paid after-school programs in 78 kindergartens of the capital, which were attended by 643 children.

She explained that the possibility of opening an after-school group is available for all kindergartens, but at least seven applications are needed to make the payment for the tutor's services financially justified.

"The department has developed two options to improve this program," Khachatyan informed, confirming that from the new school year, any parent can apply for an after-school program for their child. -0-
