The Electrical Networks of Armenia (ENA) - Armenia’s national power distribution company - plans to reduce losses in the network by 2% this year, ENA’s CEO Karen Harutyunyan said today.

YEREVAN, June 24. /ARKA/. The Electrical Networks of Armenia (ENA) - Armenia’s national power distribution company - plans to reduce losses in the network by 2% this year, ENA’s CEO Karen Harutyunyan said today.

He noted that the figure was reduced to 11.03%, down from the earlier projected 11.2% adding that traditionally in the summer months the figure is less than in winter. He added that the goal is to lower losses to 9%. “At any rate, we are not going to suffer supper losses any more,’ he said.

In 2015 the company reduced losses to 11.1% against 12.73% in 2014. In 2013 the figure was 13.36%.
According to the Ministry of Energy of Armenia, in some post-Soviet countries power losses range between 9-10%. -0-
