First Bug Bounty contest held in Armenia (video)

YEREVAN, 6 June. /ARKA/. The first Bug Bounty contest held in Armenia brought together more than 50 cyber security specialists, the press service of Acba Bank reported.
It said the contest's objective is to identify vulnerabilities of public sector organizations and the acba digital system, as well as prevent cyber and financial crimes.
"Our hackers are trying to find flaws in our acba digital application. They have to find vulnerabilities that we have not discovered so far: this will only increase the security of our system,’ said Vagharshak Iskandaryan, head of Acba Bank's Information Security Department.
"Before the contest started, we defined the “can'ts” that the participants should be guided by. The goal is to find and eliminate vulnerabilities that are sought 24/7 by both Turkish and Azerbaijani hackers and just various mercenaries. It's also a way for participants to earn money and improve their experience,’ said Bug Bounty cybersecurity contest judge Ruben Muradyan.
At the end of the contest, the participants did not find any vulnerabilities in acba digital's system that could jeopardize customer data.
Participants who discovere vulnerabilities during the Bug Bounty contest are rewarded depending on their severity.
The bank is controlled by the Central Bank of Armenia. -0-
