General Electric may build power generating plant in Armenian Hrazdan

Armenia’s minister of energy infrastructure and natural resources Ashot Manukyan hosted August 22 a delegation of the General Electric company led by its director for Russia and CIS Ivan Saprykin.

YEREVAN, August 23. /ARKA/. Armenia’s minister of energy infrastructure and natural resources Ashot Manukyan hosted August 22 a delegation of the General Electric company led by its director for Russia and CIS Ivan Saprykin.
According to the Armenian ministry, Manukyan spoke about the projects implemented now in the area of energy and welcomed the American company's intention to participate in investment projects in Armenia.
Saprykin was quoted as saying in a press release that General Electric is interested in the construction of a plant in the town of Hrazdan that will convert household garbage into electricity. General Electric is a producer of various engines and equipment for generating electricity.
The sides were said to have agreed on a joint analysis of technical data in the context of the construction of a garbage recycling plant in Hrazdan. -0-
