YEREVAN, October 29. / ARKA /. The Armenian government has approved today a proposal for an agreement within EU’s Horizon 2020 Program..
Education and science minister Armen Ashotyan said the program offers Armenian scientists unlimited opportunities to participate in the competitive international research programs.
Earlier this month the European Union granted a 75% discount to Armenia for its membership fee to the Horizon 2020 Program.
"We hope that the agreement will be signed before the end of the year," Ashotyan said.
Horizon 2020 is the financial instrument of the European Commission that runs from 2014 to 2020 with a 70.2 billion euros budget. The EU’s new program for research and innovation is part of the drive to create new growth and jobs in Europe. -0-
