HayLingvoTech excellence center to be set up at Bryusov Linguistic University

YEREVAN, February 15. /ARKA/. The language and educational technologies center of excellence HayLingvoTec will be set at the Bryusov State Linguistic University in Yerevan, the Armenian Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports reported.
According to it, the center will become a platform for the development of innovative research in the field of linguistics and will contribute to the formation of an incubator of young professionals.
According to the head of the university grant program Kristina Tsaturyan, they plan to develop educational programs on computational linguistics (for bachelor's degree) and simultaneous translation (for master's degree), as well as an online toolkit for assessing knowledge of Armenian as a foreign language.
She said the process of creating digital and web resources, assessment and testing tools to provide the foundations for the full use of the Armenian language, which will contribute to increasing the international authority of the university, continues.
Within the framework of the project, preparations are underway for the creation of a language laboratory for simultaneous translation and testing. The implementation of the program started in July 2019.
The Bryusov State Linguistic University has been operating since 1935 in Yerevan. It trains specialists in Russian, English, French, German and other languages, applied psychology, history, political science, regional studies and other humanities. --0--
