Tashir Capital to seek loans to upgrade Armenian power grid

Tashir Capital, an Armenia-registered company owned by Samvel Karapetyan, a Russian businessman of Armenian descent, will ask tomorrow for the Armenian government’s permission to pledge 172, 496 shares (69.9%) of the Electrical Networks of Armenia (ENA) national power distribution company to attract loans from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
YEREVAN, July 26. /ARKA/. Tashir Capital, an Armenia-registered company owned by Samvel Karapetyan, a Russian businessman of Armenian descent, will ask tomorrow for the Armenian government’s permission to pledge 172, 496 shares (69.9%) of the Electrical Networks of Armenia (ENA) national power distribution company to attract loans from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The Tashir Capital is part of Tashir group of companies owned by Samvel Karapetyan. In September 2015 Tashir Capital acquired two Armenian energy assets from the Russian power holding Inter RAO UES – the Electrical Networks of Armenia and the Hrazdan thermal power plant. -0-
