WCIT 2019 official website launched in Armenia

The World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT), the largest and the most reputable international event among worldwide IT leaders, has launched its official website for its 2019 gathering, scheduled to take place in Armenia in October 2019.
YEREVAN, June 9. /ARCH/. The World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT), the largest and the most reputable international event among worldwide IT leaders, has launched its official website for its 2019 gathering, scheduled to take place in Armenia in October 2019.
The news was announced today by the chairwoman of the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA) Ms. Yvonne Chiu at the opening of the 10th DigiTec Business Forum in Armenia, who has specially arrived in Armenia on this occasion. As a host country Armenia is preceded by Taiwan and India.
The opening of the forum, conducted under the slogan "Rethinking the center," featured also the official WCIT2019 video.

Armenia has been approved as the hosting country for WCIT 2019 during the meeting of the WITSA’s board of directors at WCIT 2014 Mexico. It is expected 2000-2500 delegates from more than 80 countries of the world. WCIT 2019 will be the first Congress being held in Europe since 2010.
On March 09, 2015 an official agreement was signed in the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia about the organization of WCIT 2019. It was signed by Karen Vardanyan - the Executive Director of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises, Hayk Chobanyan - the director of UITE Expo Company, and Jim Poisant – the Secretary General of the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA).
The World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT) is the largest and the most reputable international event among worldwide IT leaders.
It brings together high-level officials from different countries, heads of multinational organizations, universities and scientific research centers, non-governmental organizations’ representatives and many more.
The event includes discussions of legal, political and economic trends affecting IT business processes, presentations of innovative solutions, B2B meetings and so on. The WCIT has been held since 1978. -0-
