YEREVAN, October 18 /ARKA/. Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan, who has left for France on a working visit, had a meeting with the Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo on October 17, who reaffirmed her willingness to expand areas of cooperation between the two capitals.
Expressing gratitude for the invitation, congratulations on his election and warm welcome, Marutyan emphasized the importance of strengthening the friendly and partnership relations between the two capitals, noting that there is a wide field for implementation of concrete joint projects.
On the same day, the mayors took part in the opening ceremony of Tumo Center in Paris, patterned from the Tumo Center for Creative Technologies in Yerevan. The mayors described it as the best examples of cooperation between the two capitals.
“I though it was my duty to be present at the opening of the first Tumo school of digital creativity in Paris,” Marutyan said.
Hidalgo, in turn, noted that during her visit to Yerevan two years, she visited the Tumo Center and made sure that Paris also needed a similar center.
