According to the findings of a joint study conducted by the Russian Alfa Insurance company and the Tutu.ru travel service center to find out where Russians are most often going this summer by planes, trains and buses, Armenia is in the top list of popular foreign destinations for Russian travelers.

Armenia most popular destination among Russian tourists

YEREVAN, August 29. /ARKA/. According to the findings of a joint study conducted by the Russian Alfa Insurance company and the Tutu.ru travel service center to find out where Russians are most often going this summer by planes, trains and buses, Armenia is in the top list of popular foreign destinations for Russian travelers.

The study was also to find out what kind of help Russian tourists most often ask for from the insurance company.

This year foreign flights make up only 11% of the total number. Most popular are the CIS countries: Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan and Belarus. Russian citizens also travel to Turkish Istanbul and Antalya. Railway tickets abroad are mostly bought to Minsk, Brest in Belarus and Gagra in Abkhazia.

When travelling, the most common complaints are inflammatory diseases. In June-July they made 12.3% of the total number of insurance compensation claims, followed by insured accidents against injuries with 9.1% of cases.-0-
