YEREVAN, May 25. /ARKA/. The government of Georgia decided to reopen its land borders with closest neighbors for travelers starting from June 1, 2021. Georgian land borders have been closed since March 2020 due to the pandemic.

The news was announced by Georgy Gibradze, the head of a Georgian inter-agency council coordinating the anti coronavirus efforts, TASS reported.

"The Coordinating Council decided to open land borders from June 1. Land borders will open, and their crossing will be possible with a document confirming the completion of the full course of Covid-19 vaccination and a negative PCR test," Gibradze said.

Georgia allowed citizens of Armenia, Russia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine to enter the country by air from March 1, 2021 provided they have a negative coronavirus test certificate. -0-
