The 67th meeting of the European Regional Commission of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) will be held in Armenian capital Yerevan on June 1-3, the Armenian Tourism Committee reported.

UNWTO European Regional Commission to hold its 67th meeting in Armenia

YEREVAN, March 7. /ARKA/. The 67th meeting of the European Regional Commission of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) will be held in Armenian capital Yerevan on June 1-3, the Armenian Tourism Committee reported.

It said the meeting will be attended by representatives of 40 European countries.

“Holding the meeting in Armenia will serve as a significant incentive to expand cooperation with the UNWTO, actively participate in the activities of this organization in the coming years and create new opportunities, which in turn will help improve Armenia's position in the European region, increase its recognition and strengthen its cooperation with other UNWTO Member States,” the Armenian Tourism Committee said in a Facebook post.

The decision to hold the 67th meeting in Yerevan was taken at the previous similar event last year in Athens. -0-
