Some 1,600 cases of domestic violence against women and girls were reported in Armenia in the first 10 months of 2023, up from average 1000-1,2000 cases reported in the previous three years, Sofi Bostanjyan, the head a Justice Ministry division dealing with trafficking and women's issues, said at a press conference on Monday.

Some 1,509 cases of violence against women have been reported in Armenia over the first ten months of this year, Arthur Vardanyan, deputy chief of the 3rd division of the Armenian police's criminal investigation department, said Monday at a news conference.
