Disruptions in liquefied gas supplies spark panic and outrage in Armenia: Ministry of Economy provides clarification
YEREVAN, April 28. /ARКА/. In response to numerous inquiries from the media and citizens, the Armenian Ministry of Economy has issued a clarification regarding the situation with liquefied gas supplies, which has sparked widespread public outcry.
On liquefied gas supplies and a possible shortage in Armenia
Due to congestion at the Lars checkpoint on the Russian-Georgian border and temporary logistical difficulties, the entry of trucks carrying liquefied gas into Armenia has been delayed, affecting the normal supply rhythm in the market. While a complete shortage is not being considered, temporary supply disruptions are possible at some gas stations.
Government Actions
Responsible government agencies are in constant contact with importing companies and partner organizations to resolve the situation as quickly as possible and restore normal market supplies.
Risk of Price Rise
Prices can be affected not only by logistical difficulties but also by fluctuations in the international market due to regional events. The market is constantly being monitored, and competent authorities are monitoring the situation to prevent unjustified price increases and possible speculative actions.
Don't panic
The Ministry of Economy urges citizens to avoid panic buying and to rely solely on official information. Efforts to resolve the situation are ongoing.-0-
