Eurasia 2030+: EDB to hold annual meeting and business forum in Almaty

The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) will hold its annual meeting and business forum, "Eurasia 2030+: Investments, Growth, and New Opportunities," in Almaty on June 25–26.
YEREVAN, June 4. /ARKA/. The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) will hold its annual meeting and business forum, "Eurasia 2030+: Investments, Growth, and New Opportunities," in Almaty on June 25–26. The event, timed to coincide with the EDB's 20th anniversary, will provide a platform for discussing key development areas for the region. The forum will focus on investment in sustainable development, digital technologies, Islamic finance in Central Asia, and the development of transport infrastructure.
Speakers at the forum include heads of leading Islamic finance institutions from Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Bahrain, and the UAE. Also expected to attend are AI futurist Tariq Kureishi from the United States, members of Central Asian governments, heads of major companies, including Jasur Jumayev, CEO of Uzum Holding, and Darkhan Imanashev, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC KazAvtoZhol, as well as representatives of multilateral development banks and the expert community.
The Eurasian Development Bank is a multilateral development bank operating in Eurasia. According to the EDB, by the end of 2025, the bank's accumulated portfolio included 326 projects with a total investment of USD 19.6 billion. As part of its 2022–2026 Strategy, the EDB is implementing three megaprojects: the "Water and Energy Complex of Central Asia," the "Eurasian Transport Framework," and the "Eurasian Commodity Distribution Network."
